Terms of Service

Effective date: April 3, 2026

1. Service Description

PasteWeb.dev ("PasteWeb", "we", "us") is an HTML mockup sharing platform that lets users create, host, and share web mockups via unique links. The service is available at pasteweb.dev and is operated by PasteWeb.

2. Account Creation

Accounts are created through Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. By signing in, you authorize us to access your Google account name and email address for the purpose of creating and managing your PasteWeb account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Plans and Pricing

PasteWeb offers the following tiers:

Yearly billing is available at a 20% discount and is charged in full at the start of each billing year. Plan features, storage limits, mockup counts, and prices are subject to change at our sole discretion. For existing paid subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days advance notice of material changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued subscription after that notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

4. Payment and Billing

All payments for PasteWeb.dev paid plans are processed by our third-party payment provider, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment relationship is with that payment provider, not directly with 9punk LLC. By completing a purchase, you agree to the payment provider's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy.

As the Merchant of Record, our payment provider is responsible for processing your payment, collecting and remitting applicable sales tax or VAT, issuing invoices and receipts, and handling billing disputes. Your credit card or bank statement will show a charge from our payment provider, not "PasteWeb" or "9punk LLC." We do not store your credit card information.

PasteWeb offers monthly and yearly subscription plans. All plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Prices are listed in USD and may be adjusted for local currency and applicable taxes by our payment provider at checkout. PasteWeb does not currently offer a free trial period — the Free plan is available indefinitely at no cost.

If a payment fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds), our payment provider may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected after multiple attempts, your subscription may be cancelled automatically. Our payment provider will send electronic invoices and receipts to the email address associated with your account.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to your paid plan features until the billing period ends. After that, your account will revert to the Starter (Free) plan. Your mockups will not be deleted, but access to mockups beyond the Free plan limit will be restricted until you resubscribe.

To cancel, use one of these methods:

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription to any paid plan. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase, contact us at contact@pasteweb.dev for a full refund. After the initial 30-day window, no refunds are issued for cancellations or unused portions of a billing period — cancellation stops future charges only. Downgrading to a lower plan mid-term is not permitted; downgrades take effect at the next renewal date.

Customers in the European Union and United Kingdom retain their statutory right to cancel and receive a full refund within 14 days of any transaction or subscription renewal, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. To exercise this right, contact our payment provider directly through the link in your receipt email.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified of any price increase before your next renewal. If you do not accept a price increase, you may cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

6. User Content

You retain full ownership of all HTML mockups and content you create on PasteWeb. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and serve your content solely for the purpose of operating the service (e.g., rendering your mockup when a viewer opens your shared link).

7. Shared Links

When you share a mockup, it becomes accessible via a public URL. If password protection is enabled, viewers must enter the correct password before the content is displayed. You are solely responsible for the content you share and the audience you share it with.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PasteWeb to create, host, share, or facilitate content or activity that:

You are responsible for all content contained in your mockups, including any HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, or text. We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these guidelines.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, with or without cause, at our sole discretion and with or without prior notice. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, violations of these terms, suspected abuse, legal or compliance requirements, or business reasons.

If your account is terminated for a violation of these terms, you are not entitled to a refund for any remaining subscription period.

If your account is terminated without cause and you are on an active annual plan outside the 14-day refund window, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your subscription year.

10. Third-Party Services

PasteWeb relies on third-party services including but not limited to Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting), our third-party payment provider (payment processing and Merchant of Record), and other infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for any outages, data loss, security breaches, errors, or failures caused by these third-party providers. Your use of PasteWeb is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party services.

11. Data Security and Breaches

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure. We are not liable for any unauthorized access to, disclosure of, or loss of your data, whether caused by our systems, third-party providers, or malicious actors. In the event we become aware of a security breach that affects your account, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email within a commercially reasonable timeframe. This notification obligation does not constitute an admission of liability.

12. Service Availability

PasteWeb is provided on an as-available basis with no guaranteed uptime, SLA, or service credits. We may perform scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by service downtime, interruptions, or unavailability, regardless of cause.

13. Beta Features

We may offer beta, experimental, or early-access features from time to time. These features are provided as-is, may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice, and are not covered by any service level expectations. Your use of beta features is at your own risk.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

PasteWeb is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, data integrity, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from your use of the service.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PasteWeb and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the service.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PasteWeb and its operators, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) any content you create, upload, or share through PasteWeb; (c) your violation of these terms; (d) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights; or (e) any claim that your content caused damage to a third party.

17. DMCA and Copyright

PasteWeb respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. If you believe content hosted on PasteWeb infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to contact@pasteweb.dev including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (b) identification of the infringing material and its URL; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We will investigate and remove infringing content in accordance with applicable law.

18. Eligibility and Minors

You must be at least 13 years old to use PasteWeb. Paid plans require you to be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these age requirements. If you are using PasteWeb on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

19. Export and Sanctions Compliance

You represent that you are not located in, or a national or resident of, any country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a terrorism-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws and regulations.

20. Account Security

Your account is tied to your Google account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to maintain the security of your credentials or from a compromise of your Google account.

21. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, internet or infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, or failures of third-party service providers.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or related to these terms or your use of PasteWeb shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts and waive any objection to venue.

23. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of PasteWeb shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.

24. General

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and PasteWeb regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. These terms do not create any agency, partnership, or joint venture between you and PasteWeb.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time, including changes to pricing, plan features, and service limits. For material changes, paid subscribers will receive advance notice via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. For all other changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
